Terms and Conditions (T&C) must clearly separate OneJamat (the venue) from the Users (the actors).
Part 1: Terms & Conditions
(The User Agreement)
OneJamat.us is strictly a peer-to-peer platform. We provide the digital space for members of the Jamat to connect, list assets, and communicate. OneJamat does not own, sell, inspect, or guarantee any of the items or services listed. When a user “buys” or “joins,” they are entering a contract directly with the other member, not with OneJamat.
OneJamat explicitly disclaims all liability regarding the condition, legality, safety, or financial viability of any business or vehicle advertised.
* Due Diligence: It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to conduct inspections, title searches, and financial audits.
* “As-Is” Basis: All listings are provided “as-is.” OneJamat is not responsible for misrepresentation, hidden defects, or financial loss resulting from a transaction initiated on the platform.
By using the Marketplace to sell an item or business, the Seller agrees to pay OneJamat a 8% success fee upon the completion of the sale.
* Honesty Policy: Since many high-value transactions occur offline (via handshakes or private contracts), the Seller agrees to report the final sale price truthfully.
* Account Standing: Failure to pay the success fee may result in permanent suspension from the platform.
The Matrimonial Circle is for networking purposes only.
* No Background Checks: OneJamat does not perform criminal background checks or “character vetting” on members.
* User Risk: Users and their families are responsible for their own safety and verification. OneJamat is not liable for any emotional distress, physical harm, or financial fraud resulting from matrimonial introductions.
Users must have the legal right to sell what they post. We prohibit the listing of illegal goods, offensive material, or items that violate community values. OneJamat reserves the right to delete any listing at our sole discretion without notice.
Privacy Policy (The Data Protection)
To maintain a “Private Circle,” we collect personal data including names, phone numbers, and community affiliation. This data is used strictly for account verification and to ensure the platform remains exclusive to the Jamat.
We prioritize your privacy in sensitive sections:
* Matrimonial: Your profile is hidden from the public internet and search engines (like Google). It is only visible to registered, logged-in members.
* Memorial: Tribute data is kept within the community login wall to prevent data-scraping by third parties.
OneJamat will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to outside marketing companies. Your information stays within our private ecosystem. The only exception is if we are required by law to comply with a legal subpoena.
While we facilitate connections, we do not store credit card numbers or sensitive banking passwords on our local servers. All financial transactions for the 5% fee or featured listings are processed through secure, industry-standard gateways (like Stripe or PayPal).
Members have the right to close their accounts at any time. Upon request, we will remove your active listings and matrimonial profile from view. However, some data (like records of past financial transactions) must be kept for tax and legal auditing purposes.
